Vermont State Police Williston called N. Van Dyke at his residence to report 2 lost snowshoes last heard from on summit of Mt. Mansfield at 12:30. Their vehicle was still parked on Mountain Rd. in Underhill. Calling for a "heads up" and looking for suggestions. Subjects walked out on Deane Rd. shortly thereafter after having lost the hiking trail coming off the summit.

Male subject got lost snowshoeing on the "Town Loops" trails behind the Golden Eagle Resort. Team member Van Dyke took the call from the subject's wife and was able to locate him and walk him out of the woods.
January 31- February 1, 2011
2 skiers hiked to summit of Camel's Hump. Separated to take different routes down just below the old hut clearing. Female called for help around 2pm when she fell in a stream and could not get out of a drainage. No further cell phone contact. Male exited around 19:30 on snowmobile trail. 5 ground teams sent out - 1 to summit to try to follow tracks, 4 working drainages from the bottom. Subject located by VNG helicopter around 22:30. 2 search teams were nearby and walked subject out to VAST trail where she was transported to Waterbury Ambulance.

Put on standby for two skiers at Bolton Valley who had left the Woodward Mtn. Trail and were lost in the Stephenson Brook drainage. They were directed by BVSP to follow their tracks back up to the ridge where a snowcat was waiting. Eventually the party was able to get to the snowcat where they were given a ride down the mountain.

Waterbury Backcountry Rescue requested assistance on the Mt. Hunger trail with a subject who was reportedly unconscious and unresponsive with CPR in progress. On arrival it was determined that the subject was deceased After investigation by Vermont State Police the subject was brought approximately 1.5 miles down the mountain to the trailhead.
