Colchester Technical Rescue requested assistance after local police received a call about a possible body in the water at Huntington Gorge.  Colchester Tech and Stowe Mountain Rescue set up a quick rappel and confirmed that it was in fact a body.  Crews then crossed upstream of the site and set up on the far side of the gorge.  The body was lodged in a steep pothole with large heavy debris in a steep section of the gorge.  Crews worked to dislodge the body, placed it in a litter and raised it out of the gorge.  Crews from multiple agencies then carried the litter upstream and back across the river to the staging area.  The woman was an undentified white woman in her mid 30's to late 40's.
