The team responded to the top of the Toll Road, and sent a hasty team to locate the subject who had slipped on a wet slab of rock and injured his right ankle and was unable to move. The terrain on this trail is very difficult, so the evacuation by stokes litter with wheel was slow and required several belays. When approximately .3 miles left in the evacuation, another call was received for an injured mountain biker (see next report) and the team had to split up to cover both calls. The subject was successfully evacuated to the Toll Road, where he was transported by the team's pickup to the base, where he was transferred to Stowe EMS for transport to the hospital.
