The subject was hiking with 5 others when he slipped on ice and fell on an outstretched right arm, resulting in a shoulder dislocation. They were close to the summit. The group descended 300-400' of elevation prior to the arrival of rescue teams, but due to trail conditions (icy) and lack of traction devices, they elected to stop and wait for assistance. Rescue teams provided traction devices and immobilized his disclocated right shoulder. The subject was able to walked out with support from 3-4 rescuers and moved at a steady pace, with significant pain, but manageable. The evacuation was completed at 8:15 PM.
