The subject was reported to be on the Long Trail, just south of Camels Hump summit, suffering from dehydration.
Passing hikers were attempting to administer small amounts water, but the patient who was nauseated and light headed would not tolerate fluids. The party of 3 continued slowly down the LT (traveling south) toward the Dean Trail.
On arrival IV access was established, medication was administered for nausea along with 1 liter of fluid. The patient was then given ~ 500 ml, 50% water & 50% Gatorade, which he could now tolerate. The patient was then able to complete the walk out without further intervention.
