2010 Mission Log

 

December 28, 2010

Put on standby for two skiers at Bolton Valley who had left the Woodward Mtn. Trail and were lost in the Stephenson Brook drainage. They were directed by BVSP to follow their tracks back up to the ridge where a snowcat was waiting. Eventually the party was able to get to the snowcat where they were given a ride down the mountain.

 

August 2, 2010

Waterbury Backcountry Rescue requested assistance on the Mt. Hunger trail with a subject who was reportedly unconscious and unresponsive with CPR in progress. On arrival it was determined that the subject was deceased After investigation by Vermont State Police the subject was brought approximately 1.5 miles down the mountain to the trailhead.

 

November 28, 2010

Assisted NYS Forest Rangers in search for missing 22 year old male subject in the Adirondack High Peaks Wilderness Area.

 

October 3, 2010

The team evacuated a subject with an injured ankle approximately .4 miles from the upper trailhead on the Stowe Pinnacle Trail.

 

September 21, 2010

The team assisted a subject who had fallen and suffered a head laceration by walking them down the Stowe Pinnacle trail.
